Categories for Issue 1: Down to Earth
FICTION: Prose submitted should be no longer than 7,000 words. 12 point font, double spaced recommended. Excerpts from novels or short story collections are acceptable. Up to two (2) pieces max.
POETRY: Up to three (3) poems may be submitted. Each piece should not exceed five (5) pages in length.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Please indicate whether submitting a series or standalone image. If a writing component is included, please attach the accompanying piece in your application.
ILLUSTRATION / PAINTING / DRAWING : Please indicate whether submitting a series or standalone image. If a writing component is included, please attach the accompanying piece in your application. Comics are welcome!
HUMOR / SATIRE: You may submit up to two (2) pieces of humor up to 1200 words each.
OTHER (PLEASE SPECIFY): If your submission doesn't fit any of the above categories, we’d still love to see it! Sculptures, architectural plans, literary nonfiction, multimedia pieces — we’re open to anything so long as it holds relevance with our magazine and mission.
